The B-SUV segment has become one of the most important in the European market in terms of sales volume in just a decade. Conscious of it, Peugeot has put all the meat on the grill for the renewal of 2008, whose second generation has surpassed the barrier of 700,000 units in just four years. The restyling also affects its 100% electric version, the e-2008, of which more than 75,000 copies have been shipped in three and a half years.
The aesthetics of the e-2008 have evolved to adapt to the new Peugeot design language. The front end has a more aggressive look, with daytime running lights in the form of a triple “claw” and a wider grille that “bites” the sides of the bumper. The GT finish also debuts new full LED headlights.
Like other recent launches of the brand such as the 308 or the 508, the updated e-2008 sports the new Peugeot corporate logo, inspired by the badge used by the company in the early 60s. At the rear we find the name of the manufacturer written on a black molding that joins the pilots, which are brand new a new interior layout.
In the passenger compartment we should highlight the renewed digital instrumentation and the 10-inch touch screen for the infotainment system, which now includes wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In terms of safety, there is no shortage of elements such as adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go and the active alert for involuntary line crossing with trajectory correction.

On a mechanical level, the changes introduced are those expected in advance, since the new drive train is the same as that found in the rest of the electric cars of the Stellantis group based on the eCMP and EMP2 platforms, see the e-208, e-308 and e-308 SW. Therefore, there are no surprises in this section.
The Peugeot e-2008 now mounts a 156 hp (115 kW) engine, somewhat more powerful than the previous 136 hp (100 kW) unit. The battery pack goes from 50 to 54 kWh thanks to the use of NCM 811 cells, which translates into an increase in the approved autonomy, which jumps from the previous 345 km WLTP to more competitive ones. 406km WLTP.
As for charging, the car can reach a maximum of 7.4 kW in single-phase, 11 kW in three-phase and 100 kW in direct current (20-80% in less than 30 minutes). The three-phase charger, yes, will continue to be optional. The Peugeot e-2008 will continue to be manufactured at the Spanish plant in Balaídos (Pontevedra).
