The Chinese manufacturer Voyah, already with a presence in Europe, presents a spectacular electric saloon with up to 109 kWh

The Shanghai Auto Show has been abuzz with new launches. But for us the most important are those of the brands that already have a presence in Europe, since they are products with many possibilities of reaching our market. This is the case of Voyah, which has presented a high-flying sedan that is a declaration of intent that the Chinese are going for all segments.

As we remember, voyah is the brand of new energy vehicles (NEV) of the giant Dongfeng Engine, which has shown the public the Zhuiguang (chasing the light in Chinese). A sedan from the F segment with a body of 5.08 meters long and a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. Something that places it very slightly above the Tesla Model S, and below the measurements of an Audi A8.

The Voyah Zhuiguang is equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system with a maximum power of 375 kW (502 hp) and a maximum torque of 730 Nm, which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.

It will have two battery possibilities. A battery that is listed by the manufacturer as semi-solid, and has a capacity of 82 kWh, enough to achieve a range of 580 km CLTC. About 500 km WLTP estimated.

For its part, the second option mounts a ternary lithium battery of 109 kWhwhich grant it an approved autonomy of 730km CLTC, or around 640 km WLTP. Something that would place it at the height of the Tesla Model S Long Range, which, as we remember, achieves 634 km WLTP.

Of the load, the manufacturer has only indicated that it can access high power, and that in 10 minutes it will be able to recover 230 km of autonomy.

As for the price, in China these will start at 322,900 yuan, 42,438 euros to change. A figure that they place below 458,000 yuan, 60,202 euros, in which NIO ET7 starts in the Asian market. A model for sale in Europe and that does so with prices from 69,900 euros for the 75 kWh version, and 90,900 euros for the 100 kWh version.

Therefore, the Voyah Zhuiguang will have to arrive with more competitive rates if it wants to take advantage of its excellent work in terms of design.
