The new Skoda Karoq is already on sale in Spain. With a revised image and range, and more technology on board, the SUV starts its marketing. We give you the details.
The new Skoda Karoq is here . The compact SUV, which shares a base and components with the Seat Ateca, lands on the Spanish market ready to further boost its range. Diluted its sales in recent weeks within the brand, where Kamiq, Fabia, and Octavia already sell more, and with the superior Kodiaq also very close in registrations, the segment is vital for any manufacturer and the Czech firm now aspires to improve its share with this renewal.
To begin with, the new Skoda Karoq now renews its design, with a new wider and hexagonal grille, new skirts and optics, and, for the first time, with new Matrix Full-LED technology available. In addition, the SUV adds new shades, specific and optimized wheels, and improved aerodynamics thanks to its new skirts and its now longer rear spoiler.
When it comes to its interior environment, the new Skoda Karoq includes new decorative trim and upholstery, which can now be made from sustainable materials. Comfort is also improved with a new LED ambient lighting, with up to 10 different shades. The passenger seat includes an electric adjustment option and also has 3-zone climate control.
As for the mechanical range, the new Skoda Karoq already allows you to choose between two diesel and three gasoline engines, with powers ranging between 110 hp and 190 hp. The superior 2.0 TSI engine with 190 hp, exclusive to the Karoq Sportline, also equips all-wheel drive as standard. For its part, this system is also optional with the 2.0 TDI engine with 150 hp.
In terms of technology, Skoda confirms that by the end of the year all Karoqs will have digital instrumentation as standard, with an 8-inch screen that will replace the previous analog clocks. Starting from the Ambition trim level, above the basic Active, the Virtual Cockpit is optionally offered with a customizable 10.25-inch screen. In addition, mobile phones can now be paired with the car using Wireless SmartLink technology, Android Auto, or Apple CarPlay, and can also be charged by induction.
Among the driving assistants, the new Skoda Karoq combines the Travel Assist system with predictive cruise control, the lane departure warning assistant, or the recognition of traffic signs. The Crew Protect Assist system is optional and now reacts to an imminent collision by rolling up the windows, closing the panoramic roof, activating the belt tensioners, or turning on the hazard lights.
Skoda Karoq 2022 Prices
The new Skoda Karoq has also announced its prices for Spain . The 1.0 TSI version of 110 hp 4×2 is already sold between 28,200 and 29,400 euros ; the Karoq 2.0 TDI with 115 hp 4×2, between 30,200 and 34,400 euros; the Karoq 1.5 TSI with 150 hp 4×2 , between 31,800 and 37,000 euros ; the Karoq 2.0 TDI with 150 hp 4×2, between 34,800 and 38,000 euros; the Karoq 2.0 TDI with 150 hp 4×4, between 39,800 and 43,000 euros; and the 2.0 TSI 190 hp 4×4, for 43,900 euros.
