The Renault Austral Coupe, planned for 2023, may get its name. Before the crossover shows itself in the first pictures, our illustration remains as a design outlook. The price could be like this!
Anyway, the Renault Austral Coupé may be called in the end – one thing is certain, it will be launched in 2023 and not only shares the basic features of its design, but also the technology with the brand new compact SUV from Renault. The recipe has been known for years and is now being taken up and refined by many manufacturers.
A lower roof sloping towards the rear arouses the desire of many car fans who do not want to do without a high seating position. Because the body shape is now planned from the start and subsequent experiments on fully developed models are a thing of the past, one cannot deny that most current SUV coupés even have a certain elegance.
The use of space also benefits from parallel development. so we expect that the Renault Austral Coupé (2023) will hardly lose space and practicality compared to the classic SUV. Before there are first pictures, we have to be content with our illustration.

Renault Austral Coupe Engine
So while the elegant design of the Renault Austral Coupé could indeed arouse emotions, things are a little different when it comes to the engines. The well-known 1.3-liter turbo petrol engines deliver up to 160 hp (118 kW), but they are less suitable for increasing the pulse rate.

The full hybrid might be able to do that better, with its 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder combined with a 50-kW electric motor generating a maximum system output of 200 hp (147 kW). But the down-to-earth nature of the drive also has its advantages. In times of high fuel prices, the consumption of the Renault Austral Coupé (2023) is likely to be more important to many customers than high horsepower. And the price should also remain popular compared to other SUV coupes. It could start at just over 30,000 euros.
