The third-generation Range Rover Sport continues with its fine-tuning, a luxury SUV that will incorporate several interesting technical and design innovations.
British manufacturer Land Rover continues to slowly make several changes to its range of off-road and SUV -type models. After the recent Evoque and Velar, the next model whose tuning is taking place at the moment is the Range Rover Sport.
Currently, the British firm is marketing the second generation of the Range Rover Sport and the third installment will be ready for the start of its commercial journey in 2023, according to unofficial information sources to which AutoSpias.com has had access.
The tuning of the Range Rover Sport 2023 is taking place almost in parallel with the new Range Rover, a larger SUV with more luxurious and exclusive elements than the Sport. According to the first unofficial information available, the design of the rear area of the Range Rover Sport III will be distinguished by less vertical forms, with some other nod to the increasingly numerous SUV-coupés.
As seen in the profile, the new installment of the British brand’s SUV will feature another series of relevant elements, such as the rear door handles flush with the glass (like semi-hidden). On the other hand, in the front area, the headlights will also have a more modern and sophisticated look while the radiator grille will adopt a single block design.
Regarding the image and configuration of the interior, at the moment there is no data in this regard but the incorporation of the newest and most exclusive technologies is expected and a clear commitment to quality with the presence of noble materials everywhere.
From a technical point of view and like its “big brother”, the Range Rover, the Sport version will benefit from the new MLA (Modular Longitudinal Architecture) modular platform. In the absence of a 100% electric version, the mechanical offer will be “electrified” in two different ways. On the one hand, gasoline and diesel engines are accompanied by a 48V mild-hybrid light hybridization system; and on the other hand, with at least one plug-in hybrid variant.
