The M139l engine comes straight from the SL 43 and comforts the sonorous V6 with Formula 1 technology.
It relies on an electric exhaust gas turbocharger, which uses an electric motor between the turbine and the compressor to generate an extremely spontaneous response. The electric motor is powered by a 48-volt electrical system, which also enables a brief boost of 14 hp (10 kW).
