As reported Five days, the Slovak InoBat would have finally opted for Valladolid to build its next gigafactory of batteries for electric cars. According to sources close to the company, the decision will not be officially announced for another month, although a priori it seems that the choice is final.
The facilities, which will have a maximum capacity of 32 GWh once construction is complete, will involve an investment of 3,000 million euros. In its first phase, in which the factory will have around 8 GWh, 2,300 direct jobs will be created, although in the future this figure could increase to 4,000 employees.
Among the reasons that would have led InoBat to select Valladolid to house its new battery plant would be the easy access to renewable energy that our country offersthe strong transport connections of the Castilian capital and the presence of manufacturers such as Renault and IVECO, as well as suppliers such as Gestamp, Faurecia or Michelin.
