The 2024 Hyundai Kona will be the second generation of the compact SUV, which originally debuted in 2017 and was updated in 2020. The model is already being tested and has been seen several times, there are many spy photos of it circulating, and not only do we have a render in which we can see what its design will look like, but we also have a lot of relevant information. Among other things, it seems that it will continue betting on gasoline versions and pure electric versions within its range.
According to the information that is available so far, regarding the Hyundai Kona 2024, everything indicates that the small Korean SUV will grow slightly in size. In this recreation of its design, which is based on the spy photos that have already been seen, it is committed to keeping the optics divided into an upper module – and torn – for daytime lighting and a main module in the bumper, just below.
Some say that it could be vertical this time, but everything indicates that it will remain horizontal and with a slightly sharper design, just like the entire front in general. It seems that, although with great differences, some references will be taken from the IONIQ 5.
The Hyundai Kona 2024 should be maintained with gasoline versions and fully electric versions
One of the highlights of the Hyundai Kona, since its original launch, has always been its wide range of mechanical options. Initially, it was launched in gasoline, diesel, and electric versions, and it is expected that this generation – known, for now, as Hyundai Kona 2024 – will continue to be offered with gasoline engines, but also in electric versions.
Little by little the Korean brand is shifting the offer in favor of electrified mechanics or even fully electric versions. But in addition, its range of mechanical configurations could be especially relevant because there are rumors that the Kona could replace the Hyundai i30 family.
Inside the Hyundai Kona, while it will be slightly larger than it’s first-generation – and its restyling – it is expected that there will be a little more space in the rear seats, but above all that the trunk capacity will be increased.
The front seats should not be affected at all by this change in measurements. In what if they will be affected, without any doubt, it is in a slight improvement of the interior qualities and, above all, a piece of better technological equipment. Both Hyundai and KIA, as we have seen in recent years, insist on trying to stand out, within each segment, for the technological equipment of all their models.
At the moment, yes, this is a recreation of its possible design – based on leaks and spy photos-, and we do not have more details. Only that, while the doubt remains as to whether there will be an N version again, with a sports focus, what there will be for sure is an N Line configuration. Internal information about the project has already been seen, and the brand has been testing a version with sports touches, but we already know that an N Line is not at the level of the sportiness of a pure N model.
