In a few years, the mechanical aspects of electric cars will be more and more even. The recharge network will be wide, and then the factor that will determine whether to opt for one alternative or another will have a lot to do with the emotional plane. Something that they know in the Premium Brand of the Hyundai Group, Genesis, has presented a concept that anticipates how its main lines will be in terms of the appearance of its future models.
The Genesis X Speedium Coupe is a spectacular high-performance saloon that is a sign that the future, in addition to being electric, will also be visually attractive. The era where cars have to be pragmatic in aesthetics is over and thanks to the evolution of technologies such as batteries, they can also be slim and aerodynamic.
As we can see in the photos, it is a proposal that has a very aggressive and aerodynamic line, with a sharp front and a rear that reminds us something of an Aston Martin DB2/4. An electric that Genesis at the moment has not shown photos of an interior that has the bar very high to be at the height of the packaging.
Genesis creative director Luc Donckerwolke says the X Speedium isn’t a traditional show car, instead of describing it as a statement of intent for the company’s upcoming electric vehicles. Something that we can translate into the next Genesis will be electric, and very attractive.

And is that the Korean brand has embarked on a technological transition that will lead it to sell only electric cars in just seven years. An offer where we will find up to seven different proposals, among which we hope is this X Speedium that could undoubtedly become one of the flags of the new generations of electric cars.
What if, in addition to being attractive, the Speedium faces a very high technical challenge. And it is we are seeing how manufacturers put high-performance alternatives on the market which means that either absolutely everything is given mechanically, or there is a risk of being left behind before even reaching the market.

As an example, the new Tesla Model S Plaid or the Lucid Air Gran Touring Performance, which exceed 1,000 horsepower, and in the case of the second, 700 km of autonomy under the American EPA cycle. Without a doubt, a very high bar, which is also already commercially available, and a monumental challenge for brands like Genesis.
