The new edition of the Fiat Panda is now overdue. The time could come in 2023 – or not until 2026? We assess the market launch and clarify how much of the Concept Centoventi will be in the Panda. And: What will become of the popular Panda 4×4?
The upcoming Fiat Panda follows the 500e into the electric age. If the straps his electric platform under the Centoventi dress, a market launch would be possible as early as 2023. Since 2020, the all-electric Fiat 500 has been proving how well invested the 700 million euros in development costs were kilometers. How about the competition?
Renault and Nissan will soon follow suit with the electric duo R5 and Micra, but at the VW Group, it will take at least 2025 before modern electric vehicles on a new platform are launched. The Fiat Panda 2023 could meet the revived long-running e-Up, which also has five doors and good utility. Should the Panda become a technical twin of the 500, the electric motor, probably 87 kW (118 hp) strong, would find its place on the front axle, and the interior with its flat floor would offer good use of space.
A larger wheelbase would not only create more space for the occupants, but also the battery of the Fiat Panda 2023. A higher capacity and range are therefore within the realm of possibility.

Fiat Panda in Centoventi Design From 2023? And What About the 4×4?
Another scenario would see the Fiat Panda coming onto the market in 2026 rather than in 2023. Then the Stellantis platform STLA small (Stellantis Architecture) will be ready, which will carry all small Stromer of the multi-brand group in the future. Further thought experiments would also be possible here, such as a new edition of the Panda 4×4 with two electric motors.

Whatever the scenario, the more Centoventi there is in the panda, the more exciting. The 2019 concept car took modularity to the extreme. In addition to optical components inside and out, infotainment systems, special seats, and battery packs can also be replaced or expanded here in just a few simple steps. The Fiat Panda 2023 will answer how realistic all this was – at the hopefully attractive price.
