
Fiat presents the fifth generation of its Dobló van which, as a great novelty, will debut a 100% electric version. Both will also be manufactured in Spain, specifically in Vigo.
Good news for the Spanish automobile industry with the presentation of the fifth generation of the Fiat Dobló van. As reported by the company, the new model, which will also debut a very interesting 100% electric variant, will be manufactured at the Spanish plant in Vigo, belonging to the Stellaris Group to which the Italian brand already belongs.
The new Fiat Dobló will be available in two different lengths and with three different configurations: Van, Crew Cab, and Combi. According to the brand, the model only comes in a passenger version with a 100% electric version and in Van versions, which it considers “the perfect tool for the city” and also together with a series of diesel and gasoline engines.

Focusing on the great novelty, of the new Fiat E-Dobló, this new passenger van will measure 4.40 meters in length, will have a towing capacity of 750 kg, and, on request, will be able to equip an opening rear window in the door. rear, called Magic Window. Its interior configuration comes with 3 individual seats in the second row of seats, which can be folded to increase cargo capacity.

Technically, the new Fiat E-Dobló comes with a 100 kW electric motor and a 50 kWh capacity battery, which allows a range of up to 280 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. The model reaches a maximum speed of 130 km/h and offers the Quick Charge Mode system, to charge the vehicle up to 100 kW, to recharge it to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.


The introduction of the battery does not imply any structural difference in the van, allowing the same dimensions, characteristics, and configurations in the E-folded passenger version as in the Van with thermal engines. In addition, this variant will also feature the Magic Top versatility system, a windowed roof that provides more space, a transparent shelf, and a new roof box, accessible from both inside and outside the vehicle.

For its part, the Fiat Dobló van versions arrive together with more conventional thermal versions. In diesel, there will be two different options: a 100 hp 1.5 with a manual transmission and a 130 hp 1.5 with an 8-speed manual and automatic transmission. For its part, in gasoline comes a 1.2 engine with 110 hp.
