The new 4×4 E-TENSE version with 360 hp, a new image at the level of lighting language, and a higher capacity battery in the plug-in hybrid variants, are the biggest changes received by the large DS SUV. The DS 7 Crossback was introduced in 2017 and now receives an update to face the second phase of the commercial life of the current generation.
At the exterior aesthetic level, the changes have to focus on the front and rear, taking advantage of elements seen in recent DS concept cars – E-TENSE Concepts and DS Aero Sports Lounge. This even more expressive lighting language is especially significant, especially at the level of daytime running lights -four vertical lines of light made up of 33 LEDs creating an effect of depth and brilliance similar to that of a jewel-. This is combined with slimmer headlamps, along with a wider grille and restyled valance.
Returning to the front luminous flux, now more powerful, more homogeneous, with a range of 380 meters. At less than 50 km/h, the beam width reaches 65 meters. Outside, the PIXEL high beam module has 84 LEDs in three rows. The cornering light function is managed by the intensity of the exterior LEDs of the PIXEL module depending on the angle of the steering wheel.
At the rear, thinner LED lights opt for the combinative drawing of scales, while slightly changing the tailgate and the area where the license plate is located. All this is combined with new wheels, especially striking in size 19, also improving aerodynamic efficiency. The 21-inch wheels are associated only with the new DS 7 E-TENSE 4×4 360.

On a mechanical level, it should be noted that in the E-TENSE plug-in hybrid variants, the DS 7 benefits from a new 14.2 kWh battery that allows it to reach up to 65 kilometers of autonomy with zero emissions – up to 81 kilometers are announced in the urban cycle. Charging time is about two hours on a 7.4 kW terminal. And within this environment of plug-in hybridization, we should also highlight the new DS 7 E-TENSE 4×4 360 variant that adds a 200-hp gasoline engine, a 110-hp front electric motor, and a 112-hp rear electric motor.

In addition, for the most performing variant of the DS 7 range, the bodywork has been lowered 15 mm, and the tracks have been widened 24 mm at the front and 10 mm at the rear, increasing in parallel the size of the front brakes up to 380 mm in diameter with DS PERFORMANCE calipers.

The acceleration that is announced is from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.6 seconds and from 0 to 1,000 meters in 25.4 seconds.
