The Cupra Born debuts a new version called “e-Boost” that allows it to reach a higher power peak in its one hundred percent electric mechanics.

The Cupra Born can always boast of being the first one hundred percent electric model of the Spanish company. The electric sports compact now presents us with a new version that brings the name “e-Boost” to its range: it will do so, first, in its variant with a 58 kWh battery, and later also with a 77 kWh battery.

In essence, this new Cupra Born e-Boost presents higher power figures: from 150 kW (204 hp) it goes to power peaks that reach 170 kW (231 hp), with a torque of 310 Nm. The autonomy is almost the same: 420 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle, for 425 km in the “normal” version.

Charging times in the Cupra Born e-Boost are 6 hours and 15 minutes to reach 80 percent of its capacity charging at 11 kW of power. However, with a fast charger of direct current at 120 kW, it goes from 5 to 80 percent in just 35 minutes. At 100 kW of power, you can get an extra 100 kilometers of range in just 8 minutes.
