Like the RS4 Avant, the Audi RS5, whether Coupé or Sportback, can also be ordered with the RS Competition Plus package.
The Audi RS 4 Avant is too practical for you? Don’t worry, the RS 5 – Coupé and Sportback – is also entitled to the RS Competition and RS Competition Plus packs, available from July 2022 for an extra €8,550 and €12,600 respectively (VAT included). The goal: to make the fast Audi RS5 even faster and even sportier.
The RS Competition (Plus) package leaves the powertrain untouched. The 2.9-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 in the Audi RS5 continues to produce 450 hp and 600 Nm, but adjustments to the electronics and the removal of insulating materials – for a gain of 8 kg – improve performance: the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is shot in 3.8 s (- 0.1 s) and the maximum speed is now 290 km/h (+ 40 km/h). The RS5 also has a more evocative sound thanks to the new RS sports exhaust system with matt black tailpipes and an improved soundtrack.
Audi RS5 Competition Adjustable suspension
The RS Competition Plus package adds a sporty RS Pro suspension with manually adjustable springs, which lowers the height of the Audi RS5 by 10mm. Or even 20mm, if you go for the most extreme configuration. In addition to the springs and dampers, the steering also receives specific calibration, modifications that would ensure even more precise handling.
To optimize the agility and driving pleasure of the Audi RS5, Audi Sport has also tackled the active sport differential. The Dynamic riding mode becomes more extreme, with faster shift times and more engine torque for the rear wheels. Pirelli tires with softer rubber (P Zero Corsa size 275/30 R20) and carbon-ceramic brakes are also included, which, together with a new tuning of the ABS system, shortens the braking distance by two meters by 100 at 0 km/h.
