Audi Q4 e-Tron also updates its load up to 135 kW

As has happened with its brothers from the Volkswagen group of the MEB platform, Audi has also updated the proposal of its Q4 e-Tron. A premium alternative within the compact electric SUV segment that will now have more powerful charging, but also more equipment and connectivity.

The versions with the 77 kWh battery will see Audi update the software of its charging system, which will allow it to reach higher power peaks and reduce waiting times at stations.

The beneficiaries of this update will be the Audi Q4 40 e-Tron and the Audi Q4 50 e-Tron Quattro, as well as the corresponding Sportback versions, which will be able to reach a maximum of 135 kW, something that in practice means that they will be able to go from 5 to 80% in 29 minutes for the Q4 40 e-Tron and Q4 Sportback 40 e-Tron, while for the Q4 50 e-Tron Quattro and Q4 Sportback 50 e-Tron Quattro it becomes 36 minutes.

These improvements are achieved according to the manufacturer, thanks to the optimization of the software of the control systems and thermal management of the battery, which has allowed, as has happened previously with models such as the Volkswagen ID.3, to go from 125 to 135 kW of peak power.

Another aspect to highlight is the integration of Alexa in Q4. Technology from the American giant allows us to carry out a series of procedures by voice, and we can even control devices in our home from the car. Something very interesting for those who have seen Black Mirror.

The central screen also receives the news with an increase in size to 11.6 inches. A panel that is part of the MMI pro (standard) and MMI plus packages.

Q4 e-Tron 40, the cheapest of this update, which, as we remember, has a price according to the Audi configurator in Spain of 54,730 euros, which is no less than 8,640 euros more than its brother the Volkswagen ID.4 Pro.
